Personal Data Protection Policy on the Academic Journal and Book Platforms of the Universidad Andina Simón Bolívar, Ecuador Campus

 

The Andean University Simón Bolívar, Ecuador Campus (UASB-E), as the entity responsible for the processing of personal data, greets the authors, collaborators and users of its academic journal (OJS) and book (OMP) platforms, and informs that the personal data included in the publications will be processed in accordance with the Organic Law on the Protection of Personal Data (LOPDP), its regulations and the guidelines issued by the Superintendency of Personal Data Protection.

 

Personal data—such as names, identification, institutional affiliation, emails, images or other content associated with the publications—are used exclusively for academic, research and knowledge dissemination purposes, as well as for the proper attribution of authorship.

 

The UASB-E takes the necessary measures to protect this information and prevent its misuse. Therefore, the published data may not be used for any other purpose, such as unsolicited communications, commercial use, or any other processing incompatible with the stated purposes.

 

To exercise the rights provided for in the LOPDP, data subjects must review the procedure and channels enabled in the Privacy and Personal Data Protection Policy of the Universidad Andina Simón Bolívar, Ecuador Headquarters, available on the institutional portal www.uasb.edu.ec.
