Since 2017, the Law and Society series has published the dissertations produced as part of the UASB-E Doctor of Law program, in strict accordance with the program’s standards and criteria for excellence. Law and Society embraces the objective of the doctoral program: to provide answers to the debate regarding the foundations of legal knowledge and to (re)think and (re)construct a “theory” that serves as a meeting point for the different legal and political realities of the Andean subregion, grounded in critical thinking and capable of promoting new alternatives.
